It's almost Christmas and I can't wait to watch Abby with all the excitement and goodies! She loves seeing the Christmas lights and her favorite thing to see is those inflatable snowmen in people's yards. When she sees a Santa she says "Claus!" She's not a big fan of seeing him up close, but she does talk about him from afar!

Here is an update on some of our latest adventures! Since Brady was blessed with a new job and has two weeks off a month, we have had the great opportunity to catch up on some of the things we've always had to keep putting off in the past. Two weekends ago we traveled to Heber Springs, AR and enjoyed 24 hours of camping! Next time we'll stay longer now that we are better prepared and know exactly what we'll need. Abby loved the adventure and can't get enough of being outside. Grace (our English Mastiff) joined the family and she actually started whining and crying as we loaded up the jeep to leave. As you can see from the pictures you have to get creative if you take a potty-training toddler to the woods for the night! After a cold night in the tent (where Daddy and Abby slept like babies...and Grace and Mama didn't...) Brady made us all a delicious breakfast and we then went on a hike before relaxing until the afternoon and starting our journey home.

This last weekend we went to Petit Jean Mt. State Park and hiked one of the less aggressive trails to the "Rock House Cave" so that Abby wouldn't have to be carried the entire way. Again, she loved it and I enjoyed watching her take in all the new sights and sounds. We found out that she is quite the little rock climber!

Abby is continuing to be an amazement everyday. She can count to 10 now, she has most of her ABC's down pretty good, and is talking up a storm! Today she busted her lip at daycare...she was dancing in her chair at lunchtime and fell out right on her face. :( She's a trooper and she didn't complain about it at all this evening! I could go on forever with the funny antics she continually comes up with!

More grown up everyday!
So this week will be the first of October...it's amazing how quickly it got here! I'm ready, though, as much as I complain about being cold all the time, I enjoy the cooler weather and getting all snuggled up in warm clothes. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather for another reason, as well. Abby is steadily growing out of her summer clothes and I don't want to dig out things set aside for next summer yet! Some mornings I can feel the promise of cooler weather, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it gets here before Abby can't wear any of her clothes anymore... Potty training is still going well. Most days she goes "shoo-ie" in the potty and occasionally she'll tell me she needs to go pee-pee. Since Abby has started her new "school" (I call it that because it makes me feel better!) I have constantly found myself saying, "I didn't know you could do that" or "I didn't know you could say that!" She's been working on her "ABC's". She'll walk around saying, "ABC, ABC, ABC" until you sing the song for her. She yells, "ME!" at the very end! She said "purse" today for the first time, and also, get this...she counted to 5!!! Brady and I were in her room, she was wanting to slide down his legs like a slide. He said, "Okay, One..." and she just up and said, "two, ree, or, ive..." We both looked at eachother in total shock and amazement! She's getting to be a big girl very quickly!!

Catching up!
Phew! I have FINALLY found the cord that goes to my camera so now I can FINALLY share some photos of my precious one from the last few months! These go back a few months so I'll try to caption what's going on in the pics. Abby is doing marvelous lately...especially today - I started potty training her today and on her first day she tinkled twice and shoo-shooed twice on the potty! She even let me know she needed to go and ran back to the potty and performed beautifully! Today is the first day in 17 months that I haven't changed a poopie diaper...whoo-hoo! Thank you my dear one!

We were at the zoo here, in April, with cousin Landon, Aunt Kellie, and Nana. She loved watching the fish in the pond, the long necked giraffes, and running wild with Landon near the end of our trip.

Happy Easter! She was not happy with me for putting that bow in her hair. :) The Easter Bunny brought her a "duck-bunny", book, and eggs in her pretty little basket. We should have done the family portrait first thing that morning. She was tired, hungry, and not a happy camper!

It's moving day! Aunt Kellie and Landon came to help us move...AGAIN. Here they are watching as Daddy and Papa load the UHaul up in the rain! Abby is a good cleaner, too. She loves to sweep and if you give her a paper towel she'll do a great job wiping down everything within her reach.

This was our play day at The Wonder Place in Little Rock. It's a building full of fun things for kids to do and explore. Abby loved walking up and down the stairs that were her size and going down the slide. This picture of Landon and Abby is my favorite of them two! Even though she was probably crushing him, they look so sweet, like they love each other. :)
There will be more soon, now that I've found my camera cord...I'll be sure to include one of the big girl on her potty seat in the next round of pics! Thanks for keeping up with us...

Abby's First Pool
I have been looking forward to getting one of those little kiddie pools for Abby ever since it started getting warm. Brady went a couple nights ago to get one and we couldn't wait to get her in it, even if it was 8:00 at night! The water was a little cool so she didn't want to sit down completely, but she did have a good time splashing around with her hands. She wasn't quite as excited as having the cold water dripped over her little head, though!

Here's a few of us at Beaverfork Lake. We took a picnic there on Wednesday when Brady was off. It was very windy, but still enjoyable. The one where Abby's screaming, she had made a bee-line for a motorcycle that was in the parking lot. When we wouldn't let her touch it she got mad. Granny and Papa Steve should be proud! :)

It's been too long!
I want to start off by apologizing for it being such a long time in between posts! As you know we've moved (again!). In that move I lost the cord that you download pictures to your computer from your camera and was only in the last few days able to get access to my other camera! So, here's a few photos to catch up on Abby's 15th month and I will work on getting the other pictures that are trapped in my other camera off somehow! Enjoy!
Here's our two baby girls, together at last!
Grace has figured out that meal time for Abby is also snack time for her! She gets to gobble up all the tasty morsels that Abby manages to get on the floor. :)
Bathtime fun!
Abby loves to love on her Daddy, especially before bedtime. When she knows that it's time for bed and I start coming to take her from him she'll shake her head "no" and tuck her little arms in even tighter so I can't get her. Of course this makes Daddy feel great!
